A member of the Ficus plant family, Rubber Trees originated in modern day Malaysia and India. Very coarse in texture, the leaves of this plant are very large reaching up to twelve inches and are thick and glossy, almost having a plastic-like appearance. Many cultivars are available including ones that are green, burgundy, splashed with cream and pinks or even greens splashed with pale yellow and creams. They prefer medium to bright light but do not like to be moved once they are adapted to the home environment. A stunning specimen in the right location.
