Garden Coach Season Kick Off

Join us for our monthly class on the first Sunday of each month to inform our gardening friends of necessary chores, proper planting techniques, upcoming insects or diseases to prevent, products to use; and, new plants to add to your gardens. Join us on the first Sunday of each month, to get the most enjoyment from your garden. Note: the March Kick off has two dates available Saturday + Sunday.

Sharpening Workshop | FELCO Pruner Workshop

Join us for a hands-on workshop where you will learn how to clean and sharpen Felco pruning shears. This is a maintenance task that should be done annually. Chalet will provide all of the materials for attendees to use; and, our horticulturist will walk you through the process step by step. You will get the instructions to take with you, so you will be trained and confident to do it at home.

Glasshouse Meditation

Immerse yourself in a half-hour of mindfulness and peaceful reflection in our tranquil glasshouse before store hours. This guided meditation will be accompanied by soothing tones and surrounded by the beauty of plants, these meditation sessions offer a unique opportunity to find calm, center yourself, and start your Sundays with a sense of inner balance. Mastering the Art of Pruning

March is the best time to prune woody trees and shrubs. It is just before the active growing season, so the pruning cuts heal more quickly. It is also before the leaves have emerged on the trees and shrubs, so it is easier to see the structure of the branches. Bring your little ones to Chalet on Sunday, March 16, at 1 pm for a special St. Patrick’s Day-themed Sprouts Workshop: Shamrock Garden in a Jar. Kids will create their very own miniature world where plants can thrive, learning about roots, stems, and leaves as they grow. They'll also discover the magic of condensation, observing how water droplets form and circulate within the jar.
