Outdoor Plant Size

Barbara Ann Climbing Hydrangea is an elegant vine for shaded structures, producing beautiful white lacecap flower clusters that glow against deep green foliage from early summer through fall. Self-clinging with aerial rootlets, it attaches naturally to walls, fences, tree trunks, and stone structures without the need for tying or support — reaching an impressive 30–40 feet at maturity. Like all climbing hydrangeas, it establishes slowly but rewards patience with decades of beauty, while the peeling cinnamon-brown bark adds year-round texture when the foliage is gone. Highly resistant to deer, rabbits, insects, and disease, and tolerant of Black Walnut and cold conditions, it’s a dependable long-term vine. Birds are attracted to the plant through the season. A refined and beautiful choice for any shaded wall or structure that deserves something special.
