Amber Glow is a refined, compact dawn redwood with soft, feathery needles that take on warm amber and copper tones, especially in fall. A deciduous conifer, it sheds its needles each autumn to reveal handsome, reddish, peeling bark. Smaller and tidier than the species, it suits gardens where the towering parent won’t fit. Plant it in full sun in moist soil, where its warm color and neat pyramidal form shine. Its manageable size and glowing tones make it a standout specimen. For a living fossil scaled for the garden, Amber Glow is a gem.
