The barrel cactus plant is an attractive and cheerful specimen, rounded and growing to as much as three feet tall and three feet around much like a barrel, hence the name. Be careful, though, as it has long dangerous spines.

  • Sunlight: Bright, Direct
  • Water Needs: Dry

Plants are constantly growing, ever-changing, and therefore unique. Pots shown in pictures are sold separately. You can describe your preference upon checkout. The plant you receive may vary from the photo, but rest assured, holds the same glorious potential!

Light: Need full sun for several hours a day (direct light). Ideal for bright south-facing windows or outdoor growing in summer.

Humidity: Low humidity (30-40%) is best; avoid misting.
Temperature: 65-85°F. More tolerant of heat but protect from cold temperatures below 50°F.
Soil: Use a fast-draining cactus or succulent mix.
Fertilizer: Fertilize once a month during spring and summer with a diluted cactus/succulent fertilizer.
