This rich, raisiny, deep Ceylon tea is lovely black or with milk. Naturally decaffeinated.

Naturally decaffeinated Ceylon Black tea. The island of Ceylon, now known as Sri Lanka, produces almost exclusively black tea. The classic Ceylon teas come from the mountainous interior which is known for teas with mild and pleasant liquors that are unusually fragrant.

This tea is decaffeinated using natural carbon dioxide (CO2) treatment. This process is the best for retaining flavor. Under federal regulations in the United States, caffeine levels must not be above 2.5 percent of the product in order for a product to be labeled “decaffeinated.” The caffeine content in Decaf Breakfast is less than 0.4 percent.

To use, add 2-3 teaspoons of your favorite loose leaf tea into the infusing basket and place inside the teapot (or remove the infuser and place 2-3 pyramid tea infusers into the teapot). Separately, heat 20 ounces of water in a tea kettle. Once the water is heated, pour it into the teapot, cover with the lid and steep for 2-5 minutes, depending on the tea type. Once steeped, remove the infuser basket (or infusers), pour the tea into your favorite teacup and enjoy on your own or with a friend.

This process results in a penetrating, intense taste and contains more caffeine than less oxidized teas. With a focus on quality, Tea Forté only seeks out small gardens dedicated to quality and sustainable practices, to protect and benefit the people and the land. Searching and sampling, Tea Forté selects large, well-shaped, leaves that are hand processed and carefully crafted, a laborious and time consuming task that requires patience and a passion for our offerings of exquisite black tea.

Delicate white tea leaves plus a hint of pear and spicy ginger.

Tea Forté Ginger Pear white tea is sourced from the most famous tea region of China. This tea originates from the Da Bai tea bush which is harvested in the spring. This smooth white tea is infused with lemon balm, an herb that is a member of the mint family. It contributes a clean, fresh citrus profile and is believed to have strong soothing effects and to encourage relaxation. The Ginger brings a spicy note and blackberry leaves, mallow flowers and flavoring add a fruity dimension.

Rare, exceptional Chung Hao tea, scented with jasmine flowers.

Jasmine scented green tea is one of the classic teas one might have in a Chinese restaurant. Pairing superbly with salty and spicy foods, Jasmine Green complements without overpowering. All green tea is an excellent choice for enjoyment throughout the day. Without milk or sugar, this is a calorie-free beverage that is super-charged with antioxidants. With much less caffeine than coffee, green tea boosts energy but doesn't create jitters. If you find green tea to be too bitter, try steeping it for a shorter time and/or with cooler water. Steeped properly, there should be very little bitter flavor, rather vegetal, mild, and even slightly sweet or nutty. "Cooking" or over-steeping greens is a common mistake for those more familiar with black tea; experiment with steeping to match your own taste.

From the soul of South Africa, this naturally caffeine-free, antioxidant-rich rooibos herb is layered with sweet berries and rose. A smooth and delicious cup.

Tea Forté African Solstice contains Elderberries and blueberries, which add a fruity depth to this Rooibos tea and are also rich in antioxidants. Ruby red rosehips add an enticing balance of tart and sweet and are also rich in vitamin C, one of the safest and most effective immune-supporting nutrients.

African Solstice is a great anytime tea. Rooibos has a full-bodied flavor that is holds up to milk and sugar as a caffeine-free breakfast tea. Likewise, the hint of vanilla and berry add a touch of sweetness that can delight after dinner or for a mid-afternoon treat. Much less tannic than tea, rooibos is very easy on sensitive stomachs, and can easily be enjoyed with or without food. African Solstice pairs very well with rich flavors like caramel, meats and cheeses.

Afrikaans for "red bush," rooibos comes from the plant Aspalathus Linearis, which grows only in the Cedarberg area of the Western Cape province of South Africa. Rooibos has been consumed by Bushmen as an herbal remedy for centuries, but rooibos as we know it is a relatively recent invention. Techniques for producing Keemun black tea were imported from China and applied to rooibos in the early 20th century. A difficult plant to grow, cultivation techniques for Aspalathus Linearis weren't mastered until the 1930s.

Starting in the mid-20th century, rooibos consumption became very widespread in South Africa, spurred in part by beliefs that it can help with colic in babies. Generally consumed with milk and sugar in South Africa, rooibos has rapidly attained popularity in Europe and North America over the past decade or two, where it is often drunk without any additions.
