A beautiful gold variegated ivy, Hedera helix 'Goldchild' (English Ivy) is an evergreen climber with medium-sized, lustrous, three to five-lobed, gray-green leaves, 2-3 in. across (5-7 cm), adorned with broad, bright gold margins. In hot weather, the variegation can fade to butter yellow.

Cold-hardy, versatile geranium variety makes an excellent flowering groundcover, rock garden plant and container plant. Magenta pink flowers bloom heavily in May, then sporadically for the rest of the summer on dense mounds of foliage. The small, dark green, deeply lobed leaves turn amazing shades of red in the fall.

FlowerFull® Smooth Hydrangea features bold balls of white flowers at the ends of the branches from early to late summer. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It has forest green deciduous foliage. The heart-shaped leaves do not develop any appreciable fall color.
The narrow, upright stems of this Liatris, also know as Blazing Star and Spike Gayfeather, are great for adding a vertical element to garden beds and sunny native meadows. Stunning when planted in groups. Kobold is a short variety that does not need staking. Dense spikes of small lilac-mauve flowers in July and August open from the tip of the stem downward. Excellent, very long-lasting fresh cut flower.

Evolvulus 'Beach Bum Blue' delivers vibrant sky blue flowers throughout the season with minimal maintenance—no deadheading required. This heat and drought-tolerant variety thrives once established, making it ideal for low-water gardens. Its compact, mounding and trailing growth habit works beautifully in containers, hanging baskets, and along border fronts, adding continuous color to any landscape.

French Tarragon is a dense herbaceous perennial with an upright spreading habit of growth. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other garden plants with less refined foliage.
This is a relatively low maintenance plant, and can be pruned at anytime. Deer don't particularly care for this plant and will usually leave it alone in favor of tastier treats. It has no significant negative characteristics.

Aromatic foliage adds a classic mint flavor to foods. Excellent for mint juleps, cooking with peas or carrots, and to make mint jelly to serve with lamb. Mints are vigorous spreaders and should be contained; plant in containers sunk into the ground.
The most common and recognizable of the ferns, this is a very tough and hardy plant, featuring tall lacy fronds all season long that continue to grow strongly through any adverse conditions. Grows best in shade with rich, moist soil. Has a great textural effect in gardens and can be used to hide a fence or other structure in the landscape.
Like no other hosta, one for the collectors; upright narrow tightly folded leaves resembling praying hands; dark green with a narrow gold margin and shiny undersides; provides a dramatic accent for the garden or border; lavender flowers are plentiful
Ornamental Features
Native plant valued for its late summer blue flowers, Great Blue lobelia is best in mixed border plantings behind shorter plants or allowed to roam freely in natural settings. 1" long blue flowers in late August are bunched tightly at the tips of the unbranched stems and last for about a month. For best results avoid hot sun locations and make sure the plant is kept evenly moist. Plays well with other natives such as Cardinal flower, Joe Pye Weed (Eupatorium) and Sedges (Carex).
Trouble-free, long-blooming Russian Sage is a great plant for beginners. From July to October, spires of light blue flowers decorate the top of stiff, upright stems. The aromatic, lacy gray-green foliage is a perfect foil for coarser leaved plants and looks especially good with pink and yellow flowers like Black-Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia), Coneflower (Echinacea), Phlox and Roses. Russian Sage is a woody shrub in warmer climates, but in the North the stems need to be cut back in early spring.
The Citronella plant is both deer-resistant and protects you from common pests such as mosquitoes. Can be planted in a container or garden from spring to fall.

Cool, gray-green leaves on arching burgundy stems add soft texture and unique color to shady areas and woodland gardens. Easy to grow in moist, compost-rich soil. For brightest leaf color avoid heavy shade.
