One of the few taller ornamental grasses that can be grown successfully in part shade, Northern Sea Oats features upright clumps of bamboo-like foliage and decorative, oat-like green seed heads in midsummer that turn purplish bronze in fall. The seeds are wonderful for dried arrangements, but also spread the plant around the garden. Deer resistant.
