Hardy, slow growing dwarf evergreen makes a great focal point in rock gardens, patio and foundation plantings. Short, dark green needles emerge from the branch tips in spring bright green. Broadly rounded in form with horizontal, layered branching and a flat top. Sturdy branches hold up well to snow loads. Adaptable to many different conditions including cold, heat and drought once established. Commonly called Bird's Nest spruce for the nest-like depression in the center of older plants.
