Planting

Location:

Pick a sunny location with well-draining soil for optimal growth of this perennial. Ensure it receives at least 6 hours of sunlight daily to thrive.

Spacing:

Space this perennial cranesbill approximately 18 to 24 inches apart to allow for their natural spread and ensure good air circulation.

Watering

Water it thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist but not waterlogged to promote healthy growth.

Fertilizing

Fertilize it with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to support robust growth throughout the growing season.

Pruning

Prune it back by one-third in early spring to encourage new growth and maintain a tidy appearance.

Mulching

Apply a 2- to 3-inch layer of organic mulch around the plant in late spring to retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Prolific, lavender blue saucer-shaped flowers with a lighter center top attractive, deeply lobed foliage. The plant is compact and doesn't get leggy or rangy, but still manages to meander through and around other plants in a most beautiful way. Lovely planted with yellow and orange flowers like Yarrow (Achillea) and Daylily (Hemerocallis).
