A tough and beautiful lavender for colder climates.
After many years of trialing lavender, we're proud to add a variety that we can stand behind! Munstead is a compact, slow-growing, and cold hardy English lavender that reliably overwinters. The plants produce two flushes of long-standing, sweetly-scented flowers that can be used for fragrance or culinary purposes. Lavenders require full sun and well-drained soil, and usually don't begin flowering until their second year. Hardy in zones 5-9.
SunPatiens® Vigorous Lavender Splash New Guinea Impatiens features bold lavender round flowers with hot pink overtones at the ends of the stems from mid spring to early fall. Its pointy leaves remain dark green in color throughout the season.

Bi-lingual beekeepers in this part of the world make fast work of lining the lavender fields with their bee boxes during the heady blooming season of May. The result is a wondrously rich honey with mildly sweet floral notes -a Southern European vacation in a bottle.
