Also known as the Peperomia Obtusifolia, it is actually unrelated to the Hevea Brasiliensis, the primary resource of natural rubber. ¬ ¨â€šÃ„†The ¬ ¨â€šÃ„†Baby Rubber Plant is characterized by its thick upright stems with glossy, oversized leaves. ¬ ¨â€šÃ„†It stores water in its thick leaves, which shrivel in drought and plump when water is available. Leaves are typically dark green, but can also have ¬ ¨â€šÃ„†white or yellow variegation ¬ ¨â€šÃ„†that resembles marbling.
