Polaris Blueberry is a small shrub that is commonly grown for its edible qualities, although it does have ornamental merits as well. It produces clusters of blue round berries with purple overtones which are usually ready for picking in mid summer. The berries have a sweet taste and a juicy texture.

The berries are most often used in the following ways:

  • Baking
  • Preserves

Polaris Blueberry will grow to be about 3 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 4 feet. It tends to be a little leggy, with a typical clearance of 1 foot from the ground. It grows at a fast rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live for approximately 20 years. This variety requires a different selection of the same species growing nearby in order to set fruit.

If you decide to plant it yourself, and the plant dies within a year, our warranty will cover 50% of the original price in the form of a plant replacement. If Chalet plants the tree or shrub for you, then we will cover 100% of the price paid in the form of plant replacement as well as planting at no additional cost.

If a tree or shrub purchased from Chalet dies within a year of planting, you are eligible to receive:

If planted by yourself: 50% of the plant's purchase amount in the form of plant replacement.
If planted by Chalet: 100% of the plant's purchase amount in the form of plant replacement, along with free replanting.

The warranty pertains to a one-time replacement and requires proof of purchase issued by Chalet.
