The variegated Shell Ginger plant brings a touch of the tropics to any decor! The large variegated leaves are interesting to look at, and the plant has a great shape. Not only does this plant make a fun houseplant, it can also be moved out to a patio or deck in the warmer months, then brought back inside when the weather gets cold.

Light: Thrive in direct sunlight for several hours a day. Best suited for sunny windowsills or outdoor patios.
Water: Water thoroughly but allow soil to dry out between waterings. More tolerant of drought conditions.
Humidity: Low to moderate humidity (30-50%) is acceptable.
Temperature: 65-85°F. Withstand higher temperatures but keep them away from drafts or cold windows.
Soil: Well-draining soil, such as a cactus or succulent mix.
Fertilizer: Fertilize every 2-4 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced, general-purpose fertilizer.
