Planting

Location:

Choose a shaded to partially shaded area with well-drained soil for optimal growth of this perennial. Ensure consistent moisture, but avoid overly wet conditions to prevent root rot.

Spacing:

Space this variety approximately 18 to 24 inches apart to allow for its mature spread and ensure adequate air circulation.

Watering

Maintain consistent moisture for this perennial, ensuring the soil is well-drained to prevent root rot while watering in shaded to partially shaded areas.

Fertilizing

Fertilize it with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to support its growth during the growing season.

Pruning

Prune it back to the ground in late fall to promote healthy growth during the following spring.

Mulching

Apply a layer of organic mulch around the base of the plant in early spring to retain moisture, regulate soil temperature, and suppress weeds.
