Planting

Location:

Choose a site that offers partial to full shade, ensuring protection from harsh afternoon sunlight. Ensure the soil is well-draining and rich in organic matter for optimal growth.

Spacing:

Space these ornamental grasses approximately 18 to 24 inches apart to allow for their natural spread and to promote healthy air circulation.

Watering

Water it regularly, ensuring the soil remains consistently moist but not soggy, especially during dry spells.

Fertilizing

Fertilize it with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to promote healthy growth throughout the growing season.

Pruning

Prune the ornamental grass in late winter or early spring before new growth begins to maintain its shape and remove any dead foliage.

Mulching

Apply a 2-3 inch layer of organic mulch around the base of this perennial in early spring to help retain moisture and suppress weeds.
