Planting

Location:

Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil for optimal growth, ensuring it receives at least six hours of direct sunlight daily. Plant in a location sheltered from strong winds to protect its delicate blooms.

Spacing:

Space these perennials 12 to 18 inches apart to allow for their mature growth and ensure adequate air circulation.

Watering

Water this perennial deeply but infrequently, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent rot.

Fertilizing

Fertilize this perennial with a balanced fertilizer in early spring to promote healthy growth and vibrant blooms.

Pruning

Prune the flower stalks of this perennial down to the base after they have finished blooming in late summer to encourage healthy growth for the following season.

Mulching

Apply a 2-3 inch layer of organic mulch around the base of these blooms in early spring to retain moisture and suppress weeds.
