The soft, feathery green foliage turns glowing shades of russet, gold, and copper before dropping, revealing a handsome, buttressed trunk. Remarkably versatile, it thrives in wet, swampy ground and ordinary garden soil alike. Plant it in full sun, where it grows into a tall, pyramidal specimen for lawns, parks, and waterside plantings.
