'Del Mar' grows best in fast draining soil or sand and its cup kept full during hot weather. It likes strong but filtered light and good air circulation. Its rosette can grow up to 2 feet tall and 3 feet wide and has medium green leaves that are leathery to the touch, but have sharp spikes along their edges.
