Ground-hugging, spreading mat of aromatic leaves tolerates light foot traffic and is wonderful planted between pavers. Also excels in the rock garden and spilling over rocks and walls. Delicate, tiny salmon pink flowers cover the small, slightly woolly, dark olive green leaves in midsummer. This type of thyme is not edible.
