Planting

Location:

For Pink Pewter Lamium to truly shine, find a partially shaded area where its beautiful foliage can be protected from the harsh afternoon sun. This delightful perennial flourishes in well-draining soil that will remain consistently moist, but not waterlogged.

Spacing:

To ensure this perennial has plenty of room to show off its spreading habit, space each plant approximately 8 to 12 inches apart. This allows for optimal air circulation, which is key to maintaining healthy foliage and preventing overcrowding.

Watering

Keep your Lamium happy by maintaining consistent soil moisture. Water regularly to ensure the soil is evenly moist, especially during dry spells, but be careful not to let it become waterlogged. This will help produce its vibrant and lush foliage all season long.

Fertilizing

Fertilize it with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer during the growing season to encourage lush foliage development.

Pruning

Pruning is a breeze with this low-maintenance perennial! In early spring, simply cut the plant back to the ground to encourage fresh, dense growth for the upcoming season. This easy trim keeps it looking its best and ensures it forms a tidy, colorful carpet in your garden.

Mulching

To keep the soil cool and moist and to help with weed control, add a 2 to 3-inch layer of organic mulch around the plant in early spring. Mulching is a fantastic way to protect the roots and conserve moisture, which is especially beneficial during the warmer months.
