A delightfully sweet and juicy seedless golden table grape that ripens quite early, certainly one of the most popular commercial varieties; a vigorous vine, use as a screen for arbors or trailing along fences, requires regular pruning and full sun Himrod Grape is a woody vine that is typically grown for its edible qualities. It produces large clusters of green round fruit with gold overtones which are usually ready for picking from mid to late summer. The seedlessfruits have a sweet taste. The fruit are most often used in the following ways: Fresh Eating Preserves Drying Himrod Grape has green foliage throughout the season. The lobed leaves turn yellow in fall. The flowers are not ornamentally significant. It produces abundant clusters of green grapes with gold overtones from mid to late summer. This is a dense multi-stemmed deciduous woody vine with a spreading, ground-hugging habit of growth. Its relatively coarse texture can be used to stand it apart from other landscape plants with finer foliage. This is a high maintenance plant that will require regular care and upkeep, and requires a special pruning regimen to reliably produce fruit; consult a specific reference guide or contact the store for proper pruning techniques. It is a good choice for attracting birds to your yard. Gardeners should be aware of the following characteristic(s) that may warrant special consideration; Spreading Aside from its primary use as an edible, Himrod Grape is sutiable for the following landscape applications; Hedges/Screening General Garden Use Orchard/Edible Landscaping This woody vine is typically grown in a designated area of the yard because of its mature size and spread. It should only be grown in full sunlight. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions, and shouldn't be allowed to dry out. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is somewhat tolerant of urban pollution. Consider applying a thick mulch around the root zone in winter to protect it in exposed locations or colder microclimates. This particular variety is an interspecific hybrid.

Delivery
We deliver outdoor plants within a zone around the Chicagoland. Currently, we are offering free delivery over $250, otherwise a $25 fee will be assessed. As plants are perishable, we take care to deliver them by hand using our own vehicles.

  • For plant material not planted by Chalet, there is a 1-year, 50% merchandise credit guarantee.

Planting

  • To add Chalet's Planting Service, standard pricing is 50% of the plants' retail price. 
  • Right now, our normal delivery fee of $25 is waived for orders over $250. 
  • Fees do not include tree or stump removal.
  • Larger orders may require separate labor quote. Plantings carry a 1-year full guarantee. However, there is no guarantee for container or planter plantings as they are difficult to overwinter. 

  
No-contact Curbside Pickup 

We offer free in-store pickup at our retail store at 3132 Lake Avenue in Wilmette, IL. Orders usually take about 4 hours to prepare. You will receive an email when your order is ready for pickup. Once you receive this email please pick up the items within 72 hours.
