Tea Forté's Sencha green tea is skillfully steamed, rolled, and pan-fired in a wok to create the ultimate cup. The special characteristic of Sencha tea comes from the method used to dry the tea leaves. After the leaves are picked, they are subjected to a period of steaming, then the leaf is withered to reduce the moisture, after which the leaves are rolled into very fine needles. The process is repeated three times. USDA Organic and Kosher Certified, this green tea has half the caffeine of black tea.
