Purplish-pink buds open to a lighter, pale purple. A compact and well-branched evergreen with distinct, pointed and oval-shaped leaves, it prefers well-drained, cool, highly acidic and organic soil. As if the leaves weren't pretty enough during the season, they remain their olive color throughout the winter and will survive down to -10°F. This Large Leaf Rhody has a nice texture and can be used as either an accent or in groupings.
