Dark Towers Beard Tongue

Dark Towers sports colorful leaves and delicate, long-blooming flowers that hummingbirds love! A valuable addition to the sunny border, it's equally valuable as a tall "thriller" element in containers. Clump forming, upright stems are clothed in narrow, dark maroon red leaves which maintain their rich color throughout the season. In late spring to early summer small, pinkish white tubular flowers rise on slender stems above the foliage. The effect of the pale flowers against the dark leaves is truly lovely. Blue ornamental grasses and blue or pink flowers are especially complementary companions. Easy to grow in most locations, but soil should never be soggy.
