Probably the most popular yellow-green apple, crunchy with a sweet flavor. Harvest is later than most. This apple is self-pollinating as well! It produces large chartreuse round apples with yellow overtones and white flesh which are usually ready for picking from early to mid fall. The apples have a sweet taste and a crisp texture. They are most often used in the following ways: fresh eating, cooking, baking and sauces. Yellow Delicious Apple features showy clusters of lightly-scented white flowers with shell pink overtones along the branches in mid spring, which emerge from distinctive pink flower buds. It has forest green foliage throughout the season. The pointy leaves turn yellow in fall. The fruit can be messy if allowed to drop on the lawn or walkways, and may require occasional clean-up. This is a deciduous tree with a more or less rounded form. This tree is typically grown in a designated area of the yard because of its mature size and spread. It should only be grown in full sunlight.

Planting
- To add Chalet's Planting Service, standard pricing is 50% of the plants' retail price. (minimum planting fee is $75)
- Right now, our normal delivery fee of $50 is waived for orders over $250.
- Fees do not include tree or stump removal.
- Larger orders may require separate labor quote. Plantings carry a 1-year full guarantee. However, there is no guarantee for container or planter plantings as they are difficult to overwinter.
No-contact Curbside Pickup
We offer free in-store pickup at our retail store at 3132 Lake Avenue in Wilmette, IL. Orders usually take about 4 hours to prepare. You will receive an email when your order is ready for pickup. Once you receive this email please pick up the items within 72 hours.
