Golden Glory Cornelian Cherry Dogwood

This durable dogwood will grow anywhere—sun or shade! The first tree to bloom in very early spring, with long-lasting, bright yellow flower clusters held close to the bare branches. The flowers turn into bright red, oblong berries later in the summer which, although sour, make delicious syrup and preserves. Deeply veined, dark green leaves may turn dark burgundy in fall. Maintains a dense, upright oval form without pruning. Tolerates shade and heavy clay soil well. Use as a single specimen in foundation plantings or near the patio. Also impressive planted in groups and makes an amazing hedge!
