This Fusion White variety of Calathea has stunning green and white marbling on the leaves and pale purple undersides. It is a decorative plant that is bound to attract attention. To keep your plant looking beautiful and healthy, avoid direct sunlight which will cause the leaves to fade and lose their markings. Also avoid cold temperatures and strong drafts. Keep the humidity high and if the air is too dry, you can mist its leaves from time to time. If using tap water to water the plant, first let the water sit overnight in a container for the fluoride gas to dissipate into the air. Alternatively, you can use filtered or bottled water. Calathea is moderately fast growing.
- Sunlight: Prefers indirect light. Morning sunlight is ok, but avoid intense afternoon sunlight. Direct sunlight will cause the leaves to fade and lose their markings.
- Water: Calathea must be kept in damp soil at all times, but do not allow the plant to sit in water or in very wet soil. Think little and often as a watering policy.
