Wild Indigo: Blue

Trouble-free, easy to grow native is surprisingly at home in both formal and informal settings. Attractive foliage borne on clumps of upright stems creates a tidy, rounded form. Lovely true blue, pea-like flowers appear at the tips of the stems in late May and June, followed by interesting seed pods later in summer. The flowers attract butterflies and bees. Adaptable to most soils as long as they're not wet. Deer resistant.
