Azalea: Royal

AZSC5G

Royal Azalea is covered in stunning clusters of fragrant shell pink trumpet-shaped flowers at the ends of the branches in mid spring, which emerge from distinctive pink flower buds. One of the all-round finest of deciduous azaleas. The narrow leaves turn an outstanding red in the fall. This is a relatively low maintenance shrub, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers. When planting, amend soil by adding soil sulfur. Best in morning or dappled sun with protection from strong winter sun and wind.

Early in the season, many plants are pruned to encourage later fullness, and therefore may vary in size from the photo and size range. Rest assured, they hold the same glorious potential.
