Oak, White Beacon
Popular in cities, this very adaptable Oak likes acidic soil and full sun. It also likes hanging out with squirrels who come for it's acorns. It's also known as Swamp White Oak, Beacon dark green foliage which emerges light green in spring. The glossy lobed leaves turn yellow and in fall. This tree will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and is best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed. It grows at a slow rate, and under ideal conditions can be expected to live to a ripe old age of 300 years or more; think of this as a heritage tree for future generations!

Willow, Iceberg Alley® Sageleaf
A compact, dense native shrub that presents powdery, silver foliage that adds texture and contrast when combined with other shrubs; pretty silver catkins with red stamens in spring; best in full sun; tolerates moist soils and pruning Iceberg Alley® Sageleaf Willow features delicate silver catkins with red overtones and yellow anthers along the branches from late winter to early spring before the leaves. The flowers are excellent for cutting. It has attractive deciduous grayish green foliage with white undersides and tinges of silver which emerges white in spring. The fuzzy pointy leaves are highly ornamental but do not develop any appreciable fall color. The fruit is not ornamentally significant. The smooth bark and white branches are extremely showy and add significant winter interest. Iceberg Alley® Sageleaf Willow is a dense multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a more or less rounded form. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other landscape plants with less refined foliage. This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should only be pruned in summer after the leaves have fully developed, as it may 'bleed' sap if pruned in late winter or early spring. It has no significant negative characteristics. Quince, Cameo Flowering | ON SALE
Cameo Flowering Quince has peach cup-shaped flowers along the branches in early spring before the leaves. It has green foliage which emerges red in spring. The glossy oval leaves do not develop any appreciable fall color. The fruits are showy yellow pomes displayed in mid fall. It's primarily grown as an ornamental, but it's also valued for its edible qualities. This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers.

Aronia, Low Scape Mound
A compact, low mounded variety with glossy dark green leaves, and showy white flowers in spring; a great choice for edging and groundcover; brilliant red foliage in fall to contrast the dark purple-black fruit; very adaptable
Low Scape® Mound Aronia features showy panicles of white flowers with brick red anthers at the ends of the branches in mid spring. It features an abundance of magnificent blackberries from late summer to mid fall. It has forest green foliage throughout the season. The glossy oval leaves turn an outstanding red in the fall.
Low Scape® Mound Aronia is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with a mounded form. Its average texture blends into the landscape, but can be balanced by one or two finer or coarser trees or shrubs for an effective composition. This shrub will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and is best pruned in late winter once the threat of extreme cold has passed.

Low Scape® Mound Aronia makes a fine choice for the outdoor landscape, but it is also well-suited for use in outdoor pots and containers. It can be used either as 'filler' or as a 'thriller' in the 'spiller-thriller-filler' container combination, depending on the height and form of the other plants used in the container planting. Note that when grown in a container, it may not perform exactly as indicated on the tag - this is to be expected. Also note that when growing plants in outdoor containers and baskets, they may require more frequent waterings than they would in the yard or garden.
