Forest Rouge Blackhaw Viburnum is a trademarked selection made by Dan Moore at McKay Nursery in Waterloo, Wisconsin. A shrub with a dense, more oval, upright branching form than the species. The foliage emerges yellow-green and ages to dark, shiny green. The stems have dark red color on the new growth. Flat-topped clusters of creamy-white flowers appear in spring, followed by blue-black fruit which can persist nicely. Fall color is an outstanding maroon, which it is named for.
