Very hardy golden leaved form of the cornelian cherry dogwood; the yellow leaves practically glow in June, the color becoming more muted during the heat of summer. The first tree to bloom in very early spring with long-lasting, bright yellow flower clusters held close to the bare branches. The flowers morph into bright red, oblong berries later in the summer. Maintains a dense, rounded form without pruning. Tolerates shade and heavy clay soil well. Use as a single specimen in borders or to brighten shady or woodland settings.
