Sometimes a common name is spot on and this is one of those cases with a broad, recurring green-edged leaf and a handsome contrasting chartreuse center racing stripe. Versatile, as it can be purchased with its strappy leaves skirting the top of the pot or as a “cane”, where rosettes of beautiful leaves erupt at varying heights from thick trunks, giving a space-saving columnar silhouette. It's also commonly known as the 'Mass Cane' or 'Massangeana'.
