Black Satin is a prolific producer of deliciously sweet and juicy, deep blue-black berries that can be harvested without getting pricked by thorns! Pretty, small soft pink flowers appear on second year wood in spring. The semi-erect canes will yield a reliable crop of large blackberries in midsummer. Cut back canes that have fruited. Adding organic matter to the soil such as leaf mulch or dehydrated manure will help the plant be most productive. Easy to grow in most soils, as long as they're not soggy.
