The dense, mounded form of Carol Mackie is well-suited for today's smaller gardens. Small, slender leaves have a lovely cream and green variegation that simply glows. Delightfully fragrant pale pink flowers appear in May. While quite temperature hardy, this plant does require a loose, well-drained soil. Amend heavy clay soil with shredded pine to make it lighter. During mild winters the leaves may remain on the plant well into winter. Best as a single specimen.
