Chalet offers specially-formulated grass seeds for specific types of grasses found in the Chicago-land area. Our Shady mix works for areas with less than 4 hours of direct sun. Contains Fescues, Kentucky Bluegrass, and one improved Perennial Ryegrass.
Comes in 1-lb, 3-lb and 5-lb bags. The rule of thumb is 1-lb per 250-300 square feet of bare soil. If you have 50% grass coverage, then each pound will cover 500-600 square feet. Remember to water after applying and don't forget starter fertilizer! Full instructions shown on bag.
