Depending in the date of the spring application, (we usually advise April 15th), it is recommended to apply corn gluten meal every 8 – 10 weeks. As hot and wet as it has been this season, I would recommend applications every 8 weeks. So, June 15th would have been 8 weeks. July 1st would have been 10 weeks. I guess I am saying get it applied ASAP. Another great reason to apply it now, is that it will last 8 weeks – preventing any seeds from germinating. It will be gone by September 7th, which is the perfect time to apply (overseed) disease resistant grass seed on an existing lawn. Wow, it is wonderful when the timing works!
